Fixed Satellite Service
EMS Defense & Space offers several solutions for Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) satellites in geosynchronous orbit including beam forming and switching, and autotrack modulation. These solutions accomplish antenna pointing, TWTA combining, SSPA combining and high-power switching through the use of autotrack modulators, RLNAs, butler matrices and high-frequency switch matrices.
EMS also provides solutions for onboard anti-jam applications. In the wake of several high profile jamming events, the commercial space systems and their end users, including military users, are increasingly concerned about denial of service due to intentional or unintentional jamming.
